ABOUT BAPTIST URGENT CARE:
Physicians Care operates over 12 locations across Alabama, Georgia, and Tennessee, as part of Urgent Team, one of the most prominent independent operators of urgent and family care centers in the Southeast. Our centers provide accessible, quality healthcare services including treatment for injuries and illnesses, as well as occupational health and wellness care. We are open seven days a week to serve our community.
JOB SUMMARY:
As a Radiology Technologist, you will perform x-ray testing and support patient care through effective communication and technical skills. You will operate diagnostic equipment, develop films, and prepare the examination room for procedures.
KEY RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Welcome patients warmly upon arrival and guide them through the check-in process.
- Maintain open communication with patients regarding wait times and next steps.
- Demonstrate problem-solving abilities in patient care and recognize urgent situations.
- Follow up with patients promptly to ensure satisfaction and continuity of care.
- Document vital signs, medical history, and pertinent patient information accurately.
- Assist in patient transfers and collaborate on procedures under provider supervision.
- Conduct timely radiology procedures and ensure quality control for diagnostic accuracy.
- Prepare patients for radiologic procedures with a focus on safety and care.
- Maintain and report equipment functionality, addressing any issues promptly.
- Commit to ongoing professional development and maintain necessary certifications.
WHAT'S REQUIRED?
High school diploma or equivalent, BLS Certification, State X-Ray License, ARRT Certification is preferred, and experience as a Medical Assistant is a plus.
