Primary Position Objective

The Technical Business Analyst serves as a member of a cross-functional team, bridging the gap between business needs and technical solutions. This role combines analytical expertise with hands-on implementation capabilities across automation, data, and system integration initiatives. The individual will analyze processes, translate business requirements into actionable technical specifications, and directly implement improvements through tools such as RPA platforms, APIs, data integrations, or provide the specifications for collaboration with the software development team.

The position requires a self-starter who can manage competing priorities, collaborate effectively across technical and non-technical teams, and execute tasks from concept through delivery. The Technical Business Analyst plays a critical role in advancing operational efficiency, supporting system enhancements, and enabling technology-driven business transformation.

Major Duties and Responsibilities:
  • Analyze business processes to identify opportunities for automation, integration, or efficiency improvements. Communicate business needs to for the target audience.
  • Direct oversight and operational knowledge for assigned projects.
  • Demonstrates the ability to work with and lead technical and non-technical staff and leadership across all levels in the department.
  • Develop, configure, and maintain automation solutions (Power Automate, RPA) and support system enhancements and configurations.
  • Design process flows and documentation in Visio or equivalent tools to support understanding and implementation.
  • Partner with technical teams and business stakeholders to plan, test, and deploy system and process changes.
  • Independently manage small to medium initiatives or workstreams, ensuring deliverables are completed on time and aligned with business goals.
  • Investigate and resolve system or process issues through critical thinking and root cause analysis.
  • Influences team members, peers and stakeholders to meet the objectives of the project.
  • Demonstrates strong organization, communication, negotiation, conflict resolution and time management.
  • Communicates with appropriate staff/leadership regarding status and impacts of projects.
  • Measures and reports progress frequently.
  • Facilitation of internal IT process management and tools (i.e., critical path tracking, contingency planning, operational workflow documentation/refinement.)

  • Oversight of tasks completed by vendors relating to technology assets and services.

Requirements & Qualifications:
  • 3+ years related analyst and project experience.
  • 2+ years related experience in the Financial Services and/or Loan Servicing industry with a focus on Operations.
  • SQL experience is preferred.
  • Power Automate or RPA development experience is preferred.
  • Demonstrably excellent communication skills, both written and verbal, with both technical and non-technical staff.
  • Planning and project coordination experience with the ability to travel 25% or more.
  • Excellent organizational, analytical, and interpersonal skills.
  • Strong ability to document business process to produce technology driven solutions and automation.
  • General understanding of modern programming methodologies such as Agile and Scrum.
  • Critical thinking and demonstrated problem solving techniques.
  • Ability to function effectively under extreme pressure and/or in very stressful situations when trouble shooting technology, matters frustrating employees and/or clients requiring immediate services.
  • Strong results orientation with a dedicated client / user focus.
  • Demonstrated desire and ability to stay abreast of current technology management trends and concepts.
  • Demonstrated understanding of Project Management processes, strategies and methods.
  • Excellent time management and organizational skills and experience establishing guidelines for others.
  • Strong comfort level with technology, including ability to adapt to new systems quickly and easily. Thorough knowledge of and comfort with the Microsoft office suite applications.

  • Hearing - Able to hear average or normal conversations and receive ordinary information.
  • Repetitive Motion - Movements frequently and regularly required using the wrists, hands, and/or fingers.
  • Vision - Average, ordinary, visual acuity necessary to prepare or inspect documents or products or operate machinery.
  • Physical Strength - Sedentary work; sitting most of the time. Exerts up to 10 lbs. of force occasionally.
