Epic Travel Staffing is hiring a Travel - Speech Pathologist
Shift: Days / 8a-4p, 8x5, 40 hrs per week, M-F
Length: 13 Weeks
Requirements:
- VA License
- 1 year experience
- MBS experience required
- Certificate of Clinical Competence Speech-Language Pathology (SLP) required
BLS - 2 years' experience in equivalent setting preferred
- FEES experience preferred
- Telehealth experience preferred
- NO LOCAL CANDIDATES (no candidates within 50-mile radius)
- EKG Exam NOT required
- Approx. 8 consults per day plus patient follow ups
- Assess physician referrals, patient conditions, and medical histories to determine therapy needs.
- Conduct comprehensive patient evaluations, re-evaluations, and develop treatment and discharge plans.
- Administer prescribed speech language pathology treatments (addressing verbal and written language) tailored to individual patient needs (including voice articulation, fluency, swallowing, auditory and visual processing, as well as memory and cognition)
- Adjust treatment goals and plans as necessary, collaborating with healthcare team members and participating in patient care conferences
- Patient population: Middle aged to geriatric
