HR Generalist

PrideStaff, a nationally recognized staffing company, has been given an opportunity to assist a top employer in Fort Myers to find their HR Generalist II

We are seeking a qualified Human Resources Generalist II that will inform our client's employees about regulations and policies, support the HR team, address various issues, and maintain files, databases, personnel actions, evaluations, and tenure records.

The HR Generalist II is a versatile professional managing the entire employee lifecycle, from recruiting and onboarding to training and employee relations. This central role requires informing staff about policies, addressing issues, and keeping all personnel records compliant and organized. Strong knowledge of labor law and effective multitasking are essential for success.

Hours: Monday-Friday, 8:00 a.m. - 5:00 p.m.

Pay Rate: up to $31.00 an hour (based on experience)

HR Generalist Job Responsibilities:

• Acts as the primary backup to the Corporate Recruiter to help meet all hiring needs.

• Prepare paperwork and schedules for a smooth new-hire onboarding process, coordinating with cross-functional departments to deliver an exceptional first-day experience.

• Handle all administrative tasks for onboarding and new-hire orientations, including data entry in human resources information systems (HRIS) and audits for accuracy and compliance.

• Maintain all HR records that are accurate and up to date with HR files and documents.

• Assisted in the communication, interpretation, and upkeep of the employee handbook and employee directory and contributed to policy development.

• Provide counseling and direction to employees, facilitate communication, and help resolve conflicts impacting employee engagement.

• Ensure compliance with federal, state, and local employment laws and regulations. Stay updated on legal changes and support the director to implement necessary changes in HR practice and policies.

• Support managers with employee performance issues by helping to determine the appropriate course of action, assisting with the preparation of written warnings or performance improvement plans when relevant, guiding the management of performance improvement plans, helping to determine when separation may be

necessary, and liaising with HR leadership and firm employment counsel as needed.

• Administrate all organization changes in personnel

• Be able to deliver training for supervisors and managers

• Performs other assignments as directed.

HR Generalist Required Skills / Abilities:
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, ethics, and cultural awareness
  • Aptitude for problem-solving and thorough knowledge of HR procedures and policies
  • Advanced knowledge of HRIS and ability to learn new technical systems when necessary.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to act with integrity, professionalism, and confidentiality.
  • Experience with full-cycle recruitment processes
  • Knowledge of benefits administration and employee relations
  • Excellent time management skills
