Our client, an industry leader in commercial their industry, is looking for an experienced Accounting and Reporting Specialist to join their dynamic team. This role is essential to ensure the financial health and transparency of the company's operations. Exact compensation may vary based on skills, experience and location. Expected starting base salary $40 to $48 per hour.

Key Responsibilities:

  • Compile and analyze monthly financial reports in line with GAAP standards.
  • Deliver monthly and quarterly comparative financial analyses.
  • Produce comprehensive lender reporting packages.
  • Execute regular bank account reconciliations.
  • Administer monthly accounting adjustments, including those for construction and holdbacks.
  • Manage the fixed asset ledger and ensure accurate monthly depreciation calculations.
  • Oversee Construction in Progress financial tracking.
  • Facilitate construction loan disbursements.
  • Supervise company cash flow and reserves.
  • Collaborate with Asset and Property Management teams for various operational reporting tasks.
  • Contribute to annual audit processes, tax return filings, and budget planning.
  • Manage utility billings, Common Area Maintenance (CAM) reconciliations, and straight-line schedules.
Accounts Receivable Duties:
  • Reconcile tenant payments with monthly dues.
  • Oversee monthly tenant invoicing and handle miscellaneous chargebacks.
  • Generate and oversee rent billings.
  • Monitor tenant ledgers for discrepancies and overdue balances.
  • Distribute monthly billing statements to tenants and ensure lease data accuracy.
Accounts Payable Responsibilities:
  • Classify and process invoices.
  • Validate Payment Applications and accompanying documents.
  • Register online payment transactions.
  • Organize weekly payment cycles, manual and system-driven.
  • Record and reconcile accounts payable; initiate billbacks based on invoice analysis.
Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in Accounting.
  • CPA designation is an advantage.
  • Minimum 5 years of experience in real estate accounting, with a preference for commercial development.
  • Proficiency in Job Cost; Microsoft 365 tools: Excel (advanced), Word, Outlook, PowerPoint, and Teams.
