Position Overview
At Razor Technology, we believe technology should empower the business - secure, reliable, scalable, and efficient. As a Solutions Engineer, you will serve as a versatile, hands-on technical resource supporting our customers across servers, systems, virtualization, and networking technologies.
This role is engineered for a generalist - someone comfortable deploying and supporting a wide range of infrastructure technologies, from Windows Server, Active Directory, and Microsoft 365 to virtualization platforms and network infrastructure (switching, routing, and firewalls). You'll work closely with fellow engineers, Project Managers, and Solution Architects to implement solutions, resolve complex technical issues, and keep customer environments running at peak performance.
While this is not a dedicated pre-sales position, you may be asked to assist occasionally with technical discovery or solution scoping when your expertise is needed.
What You'll Do
Engineering, Implementation & Deployment
- Design, configure, and deploy solutions across servers, systems, virtualization, and network infrastructure.
- Implement and support platforms including VMware/Nutanix, Windows Server/Active Directory, Microsoft 365, Azure fundamentals, and networking technologies (Cisco/Meraki, Fortinet, HPE/Aruba).
- Build and integrate on-premises, hybrid, and cloud environments focused on security, scalability, and operational efficiency.
- Perform system validation, testing, documentation, and knowledge transfer for customers and internal teams.
- Troubleshoot escalated issues across servers, virtualization, and networks, ensuring minimal downtime and fast resolution.
- Maintain and optimize environments - performance, patching, backups, lifecycle management, and security alignment.
- Participate in on-call or after-hours work as needed to support customer environments.
- Work within SLAs and KPIs to deliver consistently exceptional customer service.
- Support Solution Architects and Account Executives with technical insights during discovery or scoping.
- Provide occasional input on solution feasibility, sizing, or design when your expertise is required.
- Help ensure proposed solutions align with engineering best practices and operational standards.
- Work with engineering leadership to refine processes, tools, and service offerings.
- Research new technologies and contribute to Razor's evolving service portfolio.
- Develop documentation, standard operating procedures, and knowledge base articles.
- Provide internal training or mentoring to team members as appropriate.
