Job Description Summary
* IMPORTANT NOTE: APPLICANTS MUST be currently enrolled at ULV and have a FEDERAL WORK STUDY award to be eligible for this position. *OCCE - To provide assistance to the Life Enrichment team by providing meaningful programs and activities to Hillcrest residents. The starting pay for this position is $18 per hour.
Training will be provided by the Life Enrichment team. Most of the time, staff are available to answer questions. Position requires using tact in dealing with people inside and outside of Hillcrest and supporting and appreciating Hillcrest's values.
Specific Duties
- Provide assistance to Life Enrichment staff at Hillcrest, helping to serve older adults in Independent Living, Assisted Living, Memory Care, and/or Skilled Nursing.
- Assist with activities, engage with residents individually and in groups.
- Help prepare rooms and spaces for activities and entertainment.
- Help with the dissemination of communication (flyers, bulletins, newsletters, etc.)

Preferred Qualifications
Benefits Summary
Employees are eligible for the following benefits:
One hour of Paid Sick Leave for every 30 hours worked, with a maximum accrual of 24 hours of Paid Sick Leave per year and capped at 48 hours.
University of La Verne Defined Contribution Retirement Plan - can contribute employee voluntary contributions, excluding wages derived from federal work study funds.
In accordance with the Affordable Care Act (ACA), employees who work an average of 30 or more hours per week, will be eligible for medical coverage through the University of La Verne.
Covered under the University of La Verne Workers Compensation Insurance.
