Responsibilities:

As a valued team member, you will:

  • Assess, triage, and manage patient/family needs throughout the disease process within an interdisciplinary team.
  • Collaborate with supervising physicians in line with state laws, hospital policies, and clinical protocols while providing team-based care.
  • Perform physical examinations, review and order diagnostic tests, prescribe treatments, and create patient management plans.
  • Educate patients and families about care options, including treatment plans and potential side effects.
  • Provide psychosocial support to patients and families in a compassionate and professional manner.

Qualifications:

  • Graduate from an accredited Nurse Practitioner or Physician Assistant Program.
  • 1-2 years of Oncology and Palliative Care experience preferred.
  • Active, unrestricted Connecticut medical license or in the process of obtaining.
  • ACLS/BLS Certification as required.
  • DEA License.

For this multi-site position in our Oncology Care Center, you will be based in North Haven and rotate to Derby, Waterbury, and Torrington. Work hours are Monday through Friday, 7:30 AM to 6:00 PM.
