The Electrical and Instrumentation Controls Engineer position is based at our Byron Clean Energy facility located at Byron, IL.

Compensation
This engineering role is available at both Mid-level and Senior Engineer levels. The compensation ranges are as follows:
Mid Level: $90,000-$110,000
Senior Level: $117,000-$143,000
Please note, these ranges are annual and based on experience, alongside a complete benefits package.
Position Overview
In this role, you will engage in advanced technical and engineering problem solving, supporting nuclear plant operations with key technical decisions. You will leverage your extensive knowledge in your discipline, ensuring compliance with industry codes and regulations.
Key Responsibilities
- Provide expert technical guidance to develop, manage, and execute engineering analyses and programs.
- Consult on equipment and system issues, using your expertise to identify and resolve challenges.
- Oversee engineering tasks and ensure their alignment with industry standards.
- Conduct independent research and analyses to support various technical projects and initiatives.
- Recommend enhancements in equipment, concepts, and methodologies to optimize performance, reduce costs, and comply with regulations.
- Participate in emergency responses and support outage activities as required.
Minimum Qualifications
For Mid-level E02 Engineer:
- B.S. in Engineering, with at least 2 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Must meet ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 qualifications for nuclear power personnel.
- Required to maintain unescorted access as applicable, alongside a favorable medical examination.
For Senior E03 Engineer:
- B.S. in Engineering, with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or related engineering experience.
- Must fulfill ANSI/ANS-3.1-2014 standards for personnel in nuclear power.
- Required to maintain unescorted access as applicable, along with a favorable medical examination.
Preferred Qualifications
- Professional Engineer Registration.
- Advanced technical degree or relevant coursework.
