Litigation Legal Assistant

Job Overview:
Contemporary Staffing Solutions is seeking a Litigation Legal Assistant to join our client to support a fast-paced litigation practice by ensuring attorneys are equipped with organized, timely, and accurate administrative and case support. This direct-hire role is based onsite in Tampa, FL and plays a critical part in managing court deadlines, filings, and daily operational needs across commercial and business litigation matters. The position partners closely with multiple attorneys whose working styles vary, requiring adaptability and strong prioritization skills. This is an excellent opportunity for a litigation-focused legal assistant who thrives in a collaborative, deadline-driven environment.
Compensation:
$23.00 - $32.00/hour, depending on experience (eligible for overtime)
Work Schedule:
Monday through Friday, normal business hours
Key Responsibilities of the Litigation Legal Assistant:
- Coordinate day-to-day litigation support, including calendaring deadlines, scheduling, travel arrangements, and maintaining attorney time entries
- Prepare, file, and manage state and federal court documents, ensuring compliance with procedural rules and filing requirements
- Support trial and hearing preparation by organizing case materials, exhibits, and correspondence
- Maintain accurate electronic files and records within a document management system while conducting conflict checks and managing matter documentation
- Serve as a reliable point of contact for attorneys and internal stakeholders, delivering responsive service in high-pressure or time-sensitive situations
- At least 2-3 years of hands-on experience supporting litigation attorneys in a legal assistant or legal administrative role
- Working knowledge of commercial or business litigation, including court processes, filing deadlines, and litigation workflows
- Experience with federal court systems such as PACER and electronic filing platforms
- Strong technical proficiency in Microsoft Word, Excel, PowerPoint, and Outlook; familiarity with iManage or similar systems is a plus
- Highly organized with strong attention to detail, follow-through, and the ability to juggle competing priorities
- Confident, resourceful communicator who can remain composed and solutions-focused in high-stress environments
