Job specification
- Deliver safe, high-quality care to patients with cardiac diagnoses such as CHF, MI, arrhythmias, post-CABG, and other cardiac-related conditions
- Monitor telemetry and interpret ECGs to detect changes in cardiac rhythm
- Administer cardiac medications and IV drips with precision and care
- Collaborate with cardiologists, charge nurses, and interdisciplinary teams to develop and implement individualized care plans
- Provide patient and family education on heart health, medications, lifestyle changes, and discharge instructions
- Respond promptly to emergencies such as code blues or rapid responses
- Document nursing interventions and patient responses accurately using hospital-approved EHR systems
- Participate in quality improvement and evidence-based practice initiatives related to cardiac care
