Required Skills & Experience

  • Domain Expertise: Strong understanding of end-to-end payment systems and rails, including ACH, SWIFT, RTP, card networks, and digital wallets, with awareness of settlement, clearing, reconciliation, and exception handling.
  • Process Analysis: Proven experience in process mapping, gap analysis, root-cause identification, and optimization of payment workflows, with the ability to document current vs. future state processes and recommend efficiency improvements.
  • Regulatory Knowledge: Familiarity with key payment and compliance standards, including PCI-DSS, AML/KYC requirements, and ISO 20022 messaging, and the ability to factor regulatory obligations into solution and process design.
  • Technical Skills: Proficiency in Excel (advanced functions, pivot tables, data validation), SQL for data querying/analysis, and workflow/process tools; exposure to payment platforms or payment processing systems is a strong plus.
