Business Data Analyst

A leading pharmacy benefit management company is looking for a Business Data Analyst to join their team. This person focusing on the analysis and enhancement of complex business platforms - this project is moving from an AWS cloud application into a locally hosted data center. We are seeking a highly analytical and detail-oriented Data Analyst or Business Analyst to support a strategic initiative to migrate two critical platforms from AWS to the clients on-premises data center. This role will play a key part in ensuring data integrity, supporting migration planning, and enabling smooth transition through data-driven insights. This person should be well versed in SQL and Oracle. This person should have strong documentation skills and be data-centric or analytically minded.
Key Responsibilities:
Collaborate with engineering, Architects, and product/project management teams to understand current AWS-based data architecture and workflows.
Analyze and document data flows, dependencies, and usage patterns across both platforms.
Develop and execute SQL queries to extract, validate, and reconcile data before, during, and after migration.
Support migration plans
Translate technical findings into clear business insights and communicate them to non-technical stakeholders.

Background in Agile or hybrid project methodologies.
Experience with Jira
3+ years of experience as a Business Data Analyst or Business Systems Analyst
Familiarity with Cloud (AWS) hosted platforms
Familiarity with GitHub Copilot or similar repository
Strong proficiency in SQL for data extraction, transformation, and analysis.
Proficiency in Python scripting
Experience working on platform/system migration or transformation projects.
Excellent communication and documentation skills - any Jira experience is a plus
Ability to work independently and manage multiple priorities in a fast-paced environment.
