A Leading Automotive Supplier near Nashville, Tennessee needs 2nd Shift Tool & Die Maker's. These are Full Time, Permanent, Direct Hire Positions offering Competitive Compensation, Bonus Potential, Good Benefits, Paid Holidays and Paid Vacation. Sign On Bonus & Relocation Package Available
RESPONSIBILITIES:
- Plan setup and operation of all types of machine shop tools, considering types of material, tolerances, types of cutting tools, coolants, lubricants and machine tool feeds and speeds
- Weld repair and heat treatment of different materials including tool steels.
- Determine specifications for inspection of work, using precision measuring and gaging tools, performing required inspection before, during and after machining
- Perform hand operations involved in producing jigs, fixtures, tools and dies.
- Fit and assemble jigs, fixtures, tools and dies. Sets up, runs off and tests dies to produce a product to specifications, tracing die difficulties to their source and correcting same
- Tear down, repairs and reassembles tooling on the bench or in the press as required
EDUCATION & EXPERIENCE:
- Journeyman Card or 5 years of verifiable Tool & Die experience
- Problem solving skills, proven written & verbal communication skills
- Metal Stamping and Automotive Plant Manufacturing experience preferred
