LanceSoft is seeking a local contract Occupational Therapist for a local contract job in Port Arthur, Texas.

Job Title: Occupational Therapist
Job Type: Full-Time
Location: Port Arthur, TX
New graduates will only be considered if they had SNF experience during their clinical rotations.

Job description:

  • Screen, evaluate, and treat patients following physician referrals
  • Develop and implement individualized treatment plans based on comprehensive assessments
  • Supervise and guide Occupational Therapy Assistants and Rehab Technicians
  • Maintain accurate and timely documentation of patient care and progress
  • Participate in care coordination meetings and patient discharge planning
  • Educate patients and caregivers on home programs and safety measures
  • Ensure compliance with all relevant state regulations and professional standards
  • Travel between facilities may be required

Requirements:

  • Graduate of an accredited Occupational Therapy program
  • Current licensure as an Occupational Therapist in Texas
  • Strong verbal and written communication skills in English
  • Ability to supervise support staff and manage caseloads
  • Must meet all local health regulations, including passing a drug test and physical exam
  • Ability to perform physical tasks, including transferring patients (up to 250 lbs)
  • Willingness to travel between treatment locations as needed
  • Strong interpersonal skills and a commitment to patient-centered care
