VMWare NSX Engineer (Columbia, MD)

Job Description •
Serves as a VMWare NSX Engineer •
Provides security and network support for physical networking and firewall services. •
Ensures network reliability and availability through planned and implemented solutions •
Delivers network and security infrastructures •
Develops, maintains, and supports networks in NSX/NSX-T •
Implements networking and VXLAN technologies •
Monitors the automation of network deployment and configuration •
Monitors integration of infrastructure (computer/storage) automation •
Configures and monitors network security layers •
Monitors integration with other software-defined networking technologies • Improves network manageability and scalability •
Supports the operations and maintenance of the VMware virtual infrastructure • Maintains VMware vROps and reporting for: o Confirmation, troubleshooting, and capacity planning •
Improves customized outlines using NSX, vRA, and vRO to automate and simplify tasks •
Duplicates virtual machines and server appliances • Backs up virtual machines and supporting virtual machine infrastructure

Qualifications: • 5+ years of experience with network design and troubleshooting • 2+ years of direct NSX experience • 5+ years of direct VMWare experience • VMWare Certified Professional (VCP) o VCAP6-NV o VCDX-NV o VCP6-NV o VCAP6-DCV Job Type: Full-time Salary: $140,000-$180,000
