FUNCTION:

Oversee the Oyster Bar restaurant front of the house during hours of operation.

RESPONSIBILITIES:

  1. Perform daily floor plans per shift to ensure proper rotation and coverage of stations.

  1. Train employees in the performance of their duties.
  2. Supervise floor service in dining room during hours of operation.
  3. Delegate responsibilities to team members and supervise tasks to completion.
  4. Anticipate the guests' needs and respond appropriately with a sense of urgency, personally supervise guest complaints.
  5. Review staffing, schedules, and vacations.
  6. Coach and train restaurant staff on policies and procedures.
  7. Maintain contact with cashiers to ensure correct policies and procedures for check handling and closing are followed.
  8. Manage all issues related to attendance records.
  9. Maintain communication with the Room Chef on all food service and menu issues.
  10. Effectively communicate with management, chefs, and culinary staff to fulfill and address any issues or needs requested by guests and or other employees.
  11. Keep inventory forms and stock area updated.
  12. Identify and implement cost-cutting measures and initiatives.
  13. Follow current policies and procedures for comps and voids.
  14. Exercise cost controls for all aspects of restaurant operations.
  15. Check on all reservations and special guest needs.
  16. Address guest concerns and or complaints in a timely and professional manner
  17. Establish and maintain effective channels of communication with all levels of the Nugget team and guests.
  18. Using the Nugget's system of recognition, recognize team members who are going "above and beyond" as appropriate.
  19. Knowledgeable of and consistently follow Nugget policies and procedures as well as appropriate local, state, and federal regulations.
  20. Perform work in a safe manner and always maintain a safe environment for fellow team members and guests alike.
  21. Immediately report unsafe conditions, team member or guest incidents to Security, Management, and the Safety Manager.
  22. Maintain a positive and professional image for the Nugget when performing duties or representing the Nugget and encourages others to do the same.
  23. Regular predictable attendance is required.
  24. Other duties and responsibilities as assigned.

REPORTING RELATIONSHIPS: Restaurant Manager

MINIMUM REQUIREMENTS:

Minimum 21 years of age.

EDUCATION LEVEL:

High School diploma or equivalent is required.

LANGUAGE:

Effectively communicate with others both verbally and in written form using the English language.

EXPERIENCE:

Minimum (2) years as a supervisor in a high volume, fine dining restaurant.

SPECIAL SKILLS:

LICENSE/CERTIFICATION:

Alcohol Awareness Certification within the first 30 days required.

PHYSICAL DEMANDS AND WORK ENVIRONMENT:

Ability to walk, stand, or sit for extended periods of time.

Ability to lift, and move product up to 50 lbs.

Fine finger manipulation.

Work environment may include smoke and variable temperature, lighting, and noise levels.

Work may be performed indoors and outdoors during special events.
