About the Position

TravelNurseSource is working with Cynet Health to find a qualified Med/Surg RN in Franklin, Indiana, 46131

Job Title: Registered Nurse Profession: RN (Registered Nurse) Specialty: Medical Surgical Duration: 13 weeks Shift: 12 Hours Nights Hours per Shift: 12 hours Experience: Minimum 2 years of experience License: Active RN License Certifications: BLS, NIHSS Must-Have: MS/PCU/Tele or CCU experience Description: Unit has 34 beds. Nurse-to-patient ratios are 1:5 during days and 1:6 during nights. Charge nurse is available on both shifts. Supervisor is available on nights. Patient care technicians are present on both shifts with a maximum ratio of 1:12. Unit sees common diagnoses such as pneumonia, COPD, CHF, orthopedic surgeries, appendicitis, cholecystectomy, diverticulitis, bowel resections, and pancreatitis. There is chronic BiPAP and CPAP equipment available. Unit utilizes remote monitoring for telemetry. Monitor techs provide analysis, and RNs are not responsible for strip interpretation. Self-scheduling is available based on census and staffing. Weekend rotation requires four weekend shifts every six weeks. Holiday rotation is based on the calendar. RNs may be placed on call if canceled. Floating is required within the scope of practice. Scrub color is navy blue. Unit-specific orientation includes one shift of clinical nursing education followed by two shifts on the unit with a preceptor.
