Summary
We are seeking an Electrical Engineer with experience working on buildings-related projects such as Educational, Healthcare, Commercial, Industrial, Retail, or Municipal clients.
Job Responsibilities:
Seeking an experienced Electrical Engineer for a variety of buildings-related projects. The ideal candidate will have consulting engineering experience in power distribution, lighting, fire alarm communications, electronic safety and security systems, access controls, network, instrumentation/controls and grounding for various commercial and industrial customers. Low to medium and high Voltage design experience is required.
- Lead projects or help support the project effort for specific design tasks or calculations.
- Typical design tasks include power distribution at low and medium voltage, lighting, fire alarm, communications, electronic safety and security systems, control and calculations, grounding system design and power study analysis.
- Development of construction documents (calculations, drawings, and specs).
- Complete designs using Revit.
- Possess working knowledge of project design, specifications, construction, design software, cost, and scheduling on assigned projects.
- Demonstrated ability to work on mid to large size projects, from start to finish.
- Must possess excellent collaboration and communication skills with different disciplines and teams across various locations.
Qualifications:
- Bachelor's Degree in Electrical Engineering or related discipline is required.
- Professional Engineering License or PE tracked is highly desired.
- Minimum of six years related experience required. Previous experience working at an A/E/C firm is highly desired.
- Good knowledge of NEC, International Building codes, energy codes, and experience with study software (SKM or ETAP).
- Experience with medium voltage required.
- Experience leading teams is helpful.
- Water/wastewater experience is desired but not required.
- Proficient with AutoCAD, Revit, Easy Power arc flash hazard analysis software, and lighting design software.
