In this role, you'll design and implement cutting-edge automation solutions, leveraging IEC 61850, MicroSCADA, and substation communication systems to ensure grid resilience and security. How You'll Make an Impact
- Design and configure automation and communication systems for power networks.
- Develop engineering documentation and technical specifications for projects.
- Collaborate with project managers and cross-functional teams to meet deadlines.
- Provide technical leadership and resolve design challenges during execution.
- Engage with customers to optimize system performance and ensure satisfaction.
- Support proposal development with technical input and cost recommendations.
- Drive continuous improvement initiatives for engineering processes and standards.
- Stay current with emerging technologies and industry best practices.
Responsible to ensure compliance with applicable external and internal regulations, procedures, and guidelines.
Your Background
- Bachelor's degree in Electrical Engineering or related field.
- 12-16 years of experience in automation and communication engineering.
- Strong knowledge of IEC 61850, SCADA systems, and substation automation.
- Proficiency with industry standards and vendor technologies.
- Excellent communication and problem-solving skills.
- Ability to manage multiple projects and priorities effectively.
Candidate must already have work authorization that would permit them to work for Hitachi Energy in the United States.
