Summary:
Our award-winning client is seeking a Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager to join their team. The Manufacturing Engineering & Maintenance Manager plays a crucial role in ensuring the efficient operation of manufacturing processes and the overall maintenance of equipment, facilities, and systems within a manufacturing facility. Requires a combination of technical expertise, leadership, and strategic thinking to optimize production processes, enhance equipment reliability, and manage a team of engineers and maintenance personnel.
Responsibilities:
- Lead a team of manufacturing engineers, maintenance technicians, and support staff.
- Identify areas for process improvement, efficiency enhancement, and cost reduction in manufacturing operations.
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to implement lean manufacturing principles, Six Sigma methodologies, and other process improvement initiatives.
- Analyze production data to identify bottlenecks, quality issues, and other challenges, and develop solutions to address them.
- Develop and execute a comprehensive equipment maintenance strategy.
- Coordinate preventive maintenance schedules, inspections, and repairs for all production equipment, machinery, and facilities.
- Implement predictive maintenance techniques.
- Plan and manage the execution of capital projects related to equipment upgrades, facility expansions, and process enhancements.
- Collaborate with procurement and finance teams to ensure cost-effective project implementation.
- Ensure compliance with all safety regulations and protocols.
- Conduct safety audits, risk assessments, and incident investigations, and implement corrective actions as needed.
- Develop and manage budgets.
- Collaborate with external suppliers and vendors.
- Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Mechanical, Industrial, or related field). If someone has an AA or Technology degree, but has strong experience, please send them.
- Proven experience in manufacturing engineering, maintenance management, or related roles.
- Minimum of 10+ years of work experience; 5+ years of management experience.
- Strong knowledge of manufacturing processes, equipment maintenance strategies, and process improvement methodologies.
- Automotive experience is not required, but this facility performs stamping, machining, and heat treatment.
- Leadership experience with the ability to manage and inspire a diverse team.
- Excellent problem-solving skills and a data-driven approach to decision making.
- Proficiency in project management and budget control.
- Familiarity with relevant regulations and safety standards.
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills.
