Position Summary

We are seeking an experienced Mechanical/HVAC Journeyman to join our growing team. You will play a key role in the assembly and installation of HVAC units for both new and existing construction projects. Additionally, you will support the Foreman in managing project tasks and take on a mentorship role for apprentices.

Primary Responsibilities and Duties

  • Expertly run spiral duct, TDF, and S&D systems.
  • Lead and supervise a skilled crew.
  • Capably cut duct, measure, and offset as needed.
  • Have familiarity with various hanging systems.
  • Construct and level curbs on decking.
  • Utilize your own set of tools, including basic hand tools and power tools such as impact drills and Sawzalls.

Requirements

  • Minimum of 4 years of experience in HVAC ductwork for large commercial projects.
  • Proficient in reading, understanding, and analyzing blueprints and specifications.
  • Comprehensive knowledge of ductwork and duct systems.
  • Computer literate with skills to operate necessary technology.
  • Experience operating power tools and equipment (e.g., scissor lifts, boom lifts, and Lull).
  • Maintain a clean driving record.
  • Pass a background check and drug test.
  • Commitment to adhering to all safety policies and effective communication with coworkers and supervisors to ensure successful project completion.

Physical Demands

  • Ability to stand, bend, reach, and lift for the majority of the workday.
  • Repetitive lifting of up to 50 pounds.
  • Climb ladders and work from scaffolding and lifts as required.
  • Drive a company vehicle (truck) and be capable of long-distance travel (up to 14 hours per day) between job sites.
  • Perform other manual labor tasks as needed.
