Responsibilities include:
- Utilize your expertise to diagnose and repair a variety of vehicles for our customers.
- Expand your skills as an automotive mechanic working on both domestic and foreign vehicles.
- Perform detailed and honest courtesy vehicle inspections.
- Collaborate with the service team to accurately address and troubleshoot customer issues.
- Maintain high standards for safety, cleanliness, and organization in the workspace.
- Communicate effectively with the service department regarding customer concerns.
- Team up with fellow technicians to resolve issues, meet objectives, and achieve outstanding results.
Qualifications:
- Enthusiastic with a strong commitment to customer service.
- Minimum 3 years of experience in the automotive technician/mechanic field.
- Some ASE certifications required, and preference for ASE Master applicants.
- MI state certifications necessary.
- Skilled in diagnosing and repairing vehicles of all makes and models.
- Aim to meet or exceed hourly productivity goals.
- Willingness to learn and adopt new skills and processes.
- Professional demeanor and strong communication skills.
- Interest in long-term career development.
Physical Requirements:
- Occasional lifting/moving of items over 100 pounds.
- Ability to work with tools on vehicles elevated above waist level.
- Comfort working in confined spaces as required for vehicle repairs.
- Dexterity to effectively use hand tools.
- Ability to stand or walk for the majority of the workday.
- Capability to drive manual transmission vehicles.
- Competence in navigating computer systems efficiently.
