What Makes Our Internship Stand Out:

  • Personalized Learning: Broad exposure to the civil engineering field, while tailoring some tasks to your unique interests within site civil, transportation, structural, coastal, marine, water resources, or geotechnical engineering.
  • Active Participation: You won't be on the sidelines. You'll actively engage in hands-on projects, from reviewing or producing drawings and calculations to conducting fieldwork such as inspections and studies You may also assist in preparation and assembly of field reports and data.
  • Guidance and Mentorship: Our experienced engineers will be by your side, providing valuable insights and helping you grow.
  • Applied Knowledge: Bridge theory and practice by applying what you've learned in the classroom to tackle real-world challenges.
Qualifications:

We focus our opportunities for self-motivated students who:
  • Have completed at least their sophomore year in an ABET-accredited engineering program (college juniors and seniors preferred).
  • Possess strong written and verbal communication skills to collaborate effectively.
  • Can commit to a 40-hour weekly schedule during the summer. Office hours are Monday through Friday, from 8 AM to 5 PM.
  • Can commit to occasional field work, which may involve out of town travel. Fieldwork may involve some overtime, which pays at 1.5 times your hourly rate.
  • Include a copy of their school transcript with their application.


Compensation:

PND Engineers offers competitive hourly pay, ranging from $20 to $30, based on your experience (DOE), along with paid holidays
