Job Description:

Gordon Ford College of Business is pleased to announce we are accepting applications for an Academic Advisor to join our dynamic team. The following duties are customary for Academic Advisors, but are not to be construed as all-inclusive. Duties may be added, deleted, and assigned based on management discretion and institutional needs.

• Advise students (current and transfer) for majors within the Gordon Ford College of Business
• Supports the advising policies and initiatives of the University and GFCB
• Works with students, faculty, staff within the Gordon Ford College of Business and across campus as needed
• Assists in advising for Topper Orientation Program (T.O.P.)
• Advise students based on 5th week check-in assessment
• Provides proactive advising, interventions, and referrals as necessary
• Works with Professional Development personnel to help students create an academic/ career plan that ensures student success.
• Maintains advising records and databases
• Meets with prospective students and family's
• Attend and participate in other GFCB Student Success events as needed

Requirements:

• Bachelors Degree
• Experience providing academic assistance at the collegiate level

Additional Information:

Salary: $38,000
