Summary
In this role, you will be responsible for performing routine vehicle inspection, maintenance, diagnostics, repairs, and parts handling/inventory. Tasks include tire mounting, rotation, balancing, oil changes, and lubrication. You will also assist in troubleshooting, diagnosing, and replacing mechanical and electrical/electronic parts.
Maintaining automotive tools and equipment, as well as ensuring a safe and clean work environment, is essential. You will document activities, repairs, and support, following automotive maintenance manuals, guidelines, and procedures. Additionally, you will assist in parts and supplies handling, organization, and inventory control, assessing workshop requirements for parts and supplies, and compiling ordering information.
Skills Required

- Physical capability to perform tasks on vehicles
- Basic hand tool experience
- Experience performing tire mounting and balancing, and oil changes
- High school diploma is required
- ACE certifications are preferred
- 2-5 years of mechanic experience
- Understanding of electronic, electrical, hydraulic, and mechanical systems, tools, and equipment
- Knowledge, ability, and hands-on experience in routine automotive diagnostic and repair work
- Previous experience with Client vehicles, CAN, FlexRay, LIN, and Monaco and Xentry diagnostic tools
- Ability to quickly learn and understand new automotive concepts and applications
- Proficient computer skills, including Windows Operating System and Linux
- Automotive Service Excellence (ASE) Certification
- Valid US driver's license
- High voltage electrical training and background (preferred)
- Responsible, ethical, diligent, reliable, and proactive work ethic
- Collaborative team player
- Exceptional organizational skills
- German language skills (preferred but not required)
- Performing basic repairs on vehicles
- Maintaining research vehicle fleet for autonomous vehicle projects
- Handling oil changes, tire changes, and general type work similar to a dealership
- Moving vehicles locally
- Working on 1-4 cars in a day
