About the Role:

We are seeking a CDL Class A Delivery Driver to join our team at Metro Welding Supply Corporation in Ypsilanti, MI, to deliver medical gases in Ann Arbor and the surrounding areas. As a critical and valued member of our delivery team, you will play a vital role in ensuring our products reach our customers promptly and professionally. You must have a CDL A with no stick restrictions, a clean motor vehicle report, and a hazmat endorsement. This position entails considerable walking while conducting several deliveries at one or two locations per day and is an early am start time. Metro Welding Supply offers competitive wages, full benefits, and 401k. A clean motor vehicle report is a must.

Responsibilities:
  • Deliver welding supplies and equipment to customers in a safe and efficient manner
  • Provide exceptional customer service during deliveries and interact with customers in a professional manner
  • Perform pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections to ensure safe operation
  • Load and unload delivery trucks as needed
Requirements:
  • Valid CDL Class A driver's license with a clean driving record and hazmat endorsement
  • 1 year prior experience as a delivery driver, preferably in a commercial or industrial setting
  • Ability to lift and move a minimum of 50lbs
  • Early morning shift
  • Excellent communication and customer service skills
  • Knowledge of DOT regulations and safety standards

Compensation: $26.00 - $28.00 per hour
