Senior ETL Developer

Location: On-site in Woodlawn, MD (5 days/week)

Clearance: Must be able to obtain and maintain a Public Trust

Position Overview

Leidos is seeking a Senior ETL Developer to support application modernization efforts, lead technical discussions, and guide junior developers. This role focuses on mainframe data integration, troubleshooting, and new job development.

Key Responsibilities
  • Analyze and optimize ETL jobs and data feeds
  • Monitor, troubleshoot, and resolve job failures
  • Maintain and update job process documentation
  • Develop new client-server jobs to support modernization
  • Attend technical meetings and provide input on design and development
  • Support and mentor junior/mid-level developers
  • Contribute to strategic technical solutions and process improvements
Basic Qualifications
  • Bachelor's in Computer Science, Engineering, Mathematics, or related field
  • 10+ years of experience with modern web development (JavaScript, ES6+, SASS/LESS, Stencil.js)
  • Experience with mainframe data models, JCL programs, and backend systems
  • Proficient in Linux scripting for ETL
  • Strong communication skills
  • Public Trust eligibility (contract requirement)
  • Must be on-site in Woodlawn, MD, 5 days/week
Preferred Skills
  • Agile and DevOps experience
  • Familiarity with modern development tools and methodologies
  • Experience in Linux environments
  • Participation in daily scrums and collaborative development
