Verovian Nursing Agency is seeking an experienced RN Manager - Trauma ICU to provide 24-hour leadership and oversight for critical care nursing in Wichita, Kansas. This role is responsible for planning, organizing, coordinating, monitoring, and evaluating the care delivered in the Trauma ICU, ensuring compliance with evidence-based practices, hospital policies, and national quality standards. The RN Manager will also contribute to strategic planning, program development, and staff leadership, playing a vital role in patient safety and care excellence.

  • Provide leadership and operational oversight for the Trauma ICU, ensuring quality patient care and regulatory compliance.
  • Maintain 24-hour accountability for unit operations, staffing, and performance.
  • Oversee risk management, human resources, and fiscal responsibilities, ensuring optimal resource utilization.
  • Implement evidence-based nursing practices and quality measures, including:
  • Ventilator-associated pneumonia (VAP) prevention and bundle implementation.
  • Skin and wound care management, including pressure ulcer prevention.
  • Meeting and exceeding national core measures.
  • Reducing catheter-associated urinary tract infections (CAUTIs).
  • Fall risk prevention and patient safety initiatives.
  • Safe restraint utilization as per hospital policy.
  • Collaborate with multidisciplinary teams to improve patient outcomes and streamline care delivery.
Candidate requirements Graduate of an accredited school of nursing. BSN required or willingness to obtain within a specified timeframe. Current RN Licensure in the State of Kansas. Basic Life Support (BLS) and Advanced Cardiovascular Life Support (ACLS) certification Minimum 3 years of critical care nursing experience (ICU, PACU, OR, ED). Some leadership experience required (Charge Nurse or Clinical Nurse Coordinator experience considered Strong ability to apply nursing processes, including administering treatments, interpreting diagnostics, formulating care plans, and providing patient education.
