Your Role - What You Will Achieve
- Carry out routine and advanced clinical laboratory tests-such as chemistry, hematology, immunology, and others-following established procedures.
- Evaluate results for accuracy, resolve errors, and conduct preventative maintenance and calibrate laboratory instruments.
- Assist in specimen collection and prepare samples for testing when required.
- Meticulously document all procedures, provide training for new staff or students, and help maintain quality assurance standards within the lab.
- Ensure a tidy, safe workspace while adhering to all regulatory and accreditation guidelines.
- A Bachelor's degree in Clinical or Medical Laboratory Science or an equivalent allied health degree, along with preparation for ASCP/AMT certification.
- ASCP or AMT Board of Certification in Clinical Laboratory Science (CLS) to be obtained within one year of hire.
- Maintain active certification throughout your employment.
- Exceptional communication and interpersonal abilities for effective teamwork with healthcare professionals.
- Strong independent judgment and problem-solving capabilities in a fast-paced or stressful environment.
- Meticulous organizational skills and a keen attention to detail, particularly regarding quality control and documentation.
