Job Summary

The OPS Outreach Coordinator for the ROCK Center will work directly with the Center Director and Outreach Specialist to provide workshops both on campus and in the community. The OC will serve as a liaison with community partners and will be responsible for creating new partnerships. Additional responsibilities include working with the ROCK Registered Student Organization, coordinating with the FGCU Service-Learning Office, and creating marketing materials including increasing the Center's social media presence.

Job Description

Typical duties include but not limited to:
  • Provide workshops both on campus and in the community.
  • Serve as a liaison with community partners .
  • Create and foster new partnerships.
  • Work with the ROCK Registered Student Organization.
  • Coordinate with the FGCU Service-Learning Office.
  • Create marketing materials to increase the Center's social media presence.
Other Duties:
  • Performs other job-related duties as assigned.
Additional Job Description

Minimum Qualifications:
  • This position requires either four years of directly related full-time experience or as an alternative a bachelor's degree from an accredited institution in an appropriate area of specialization.
  • Experience with community engagement
Preferred Qualifications:
  • Bachelor's degree in a related field.
  • Experience with community organizations.
  • Knowledge of FGCU and the local community.
Knowledge, Skills & Abilities:
  • Promote a common purpose consistent with stated University goals and demonstrate a commitment to students and the learning environment.
  • Possess the knowledge of general written standards and procedures utilized, and have the ability to read, interpret, and follow procedural and policy manuals related to the job tasks.
  • Demonstrate the ability to respond to supervision, guidance, and direction in a positive, receptive manner and in accordance with stated policies.
  • Provide quality customer service by creating a welcoming and supportive environment.
  • Present a professional image in word, action, and attire.
  • Apply effective techniques to create working relationships with others to achieve common goals; successfully communicates and collaborates with others to achieve goals.
  • Demonstrate skills necessary to look at situations and processes
