Per Diem Clinical Nurse for Pain Management Procedures

Requirements:
- Education: Graduate of an NLN accredited school of professional nursing.
- Licensure/Certification: Current RN license in New Mexico or a Compact state. BLS certification is required within two weeks of hire, while ACLS and PALS certifications should be obtained within six months of hire.
- Skills: Strong verbal and written communication skills are essential for patient care and documentation. Ability to relate effectively to others, engage in goal-setting, and participate in educational activities for professional growth. Knowledge of professional nursing standards is crucial.
- Experience: Prior experience in PACU, ambulatory care, critical care, or general nursing is preferred.
Work Environment:
You will report to the Manager of Surgical Services in an environment that requires adherence to universal precautions due to direct contact with blood or bodily fluids. Personal protective equipment will be provided and must be used.
Physical Requirements:
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds (or 150 pounds with assistance).
- May push or pull 150-300 pounds with assistance.
- Work demands include walking or standing most of the time.
- Visual and auditory acuity, as well as manual dexterity, are essential for performing duties involving equipment, instruments, or needles.
Expect a clean, well-lit working condition, though you may encounter challenging sights, odors, and potentially stressful situations. Your commitment to safety in the presence of hazardous materials and infectious agents is critically important. Hours may vary and could be unexpectedly extended based on the surgical schedule.
