QUALITY TECHNICIAN - 2ND SHIFT

We're looking for a detail-oriented Quality Technician to support our 2nd shift Casting operations. In this role, you'll be the primary quality resource on the production floor-helping solve problems, guiding team members, and ensuring our processes meet internal and customer expectations.
What You'll Do
- Serve as the go-to quality contact on the production floor.
- Support the launch and development of new programs, including control plans, PFMEAs, process flows, inspection standards, and capability studies.
- Create and update quality documents, including instructions, gaging methods, preventative actions, and temporary deviations.
- Train team members on quality standards, inspection techniques, customer requirements, and proper use of measurement tools.
- Make data-driven decisions and assist others in understanding quality results and requirements.
- Participate in cross-functional problem-solving teams using root-cause analysis tools (5 Why, cause & effect, defect recreation, etc.).
- Conduct routine audits, final inspections, and off-line checks to ensure compliance with quality standards.
- Stop production when necessary to prevent non-conforming product from reaching the customer.
- High school diploma required
- 1+ year of related quality or manufacturing experience
- Completion (or willingness to complete) training in Blueprint Reading, SPC, and Measurement Tools for Quality Control
- Strong attention to detail, solid decision-making skills, and the ability to communicate quality expectations clearly
