Responsibilities

  • Supports the care delivery team in the administrative office for a variety of patient and family related tasks, such as coordination of discharge, durable medical equipment and other vendor needs.
  • Communicates with patients, vendors and hospital staff as needed.
  • Provides administrative support for tracking ongoing care activities (vendor liaison, equipment pickup coordination, scheduling appointments).
  • Complies with policies, procedures and regulatory mandates including but not limited to abiding to the terms of the Amedisys Compliance Program.
  • Performs other related duties as assigned.
Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent.
  • One year of experience in a healthcare setting such as unit secretary, clinic operations, health administrative assistant or front office.

Preferred

  • Associate's degree in business, healthcare or related field.
  • Bilingual (specifically fluent in Spanish).
