Description
- Conduct comprehensive evaluations of patients spanning pediatric, adult, and geriatric demographics, utilizing validated assessments and detailed observational tactics.
- Craft individualized therapy plans that align with both immediate objectives and broader communication, cognitive, or swallowing requirements.
- Deliver engaging one-on-one speech therapy sessions focusing on fluency, voice, language, and swallowing challenges.
- Work collaboratively with physical therapists, occupational therapists, medical staff, caregivers, and family members to create integrated care plans.
- Provide guidance and resources to patients and their families to encourage progress outside the clinical setting.
- Participate in periodic inpatient evaluations and treatments, ensuring a seamless continuum of care.
- Maintain thorough and timely documentation that adheres to regulatory and organizational standards.
- Engage in ongoing professional development through education and teamwork with peers.
- Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from an accredited institution.
- Completion of a supervised Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if you are not fully ASHA-certified.
- Current state license as a Speech Language Pathologist.
- A Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
- A Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of employment.
- Expertise in evidence-based treatment methodologies tailored for diverse ages and conditions, with a keen understanding of speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
- Exceptional communication skills to foster relationships with patients, families, and interdisciplinary teams.
- Adeptness at adapting therapeutic approaches to respect cultural and linguistic diversity.
- Strong analytical and clinical reasoning capabilities.
- Proficient in electronic health records and compliance documentation.
- Competitive salary reflective of experience.
- Flexible work schedules to promote a healthy work-life balance and a varied caseload.
- Potential for specialization in fields such as pediatrics, adult neuro rehabilitation, or geriatrics.
- Generous paid time off (PTO) and holiday compensation.
- Options for medical, dental, vision, and life insurance.
- Opportunities for continuing education and professional growth support.
- A collaborative atmosphere focused on quality patient care and shared learning.
A Journey of Healing and Growth Awaits
In this rewarding role, you'll not only provide critical speech therapy services - you'll join a communal mission to empower voices, enrich communication, and create moments filled with understanding and connection.
