Sr. Manager, Digital Merchandising

As the Sr Manager, Digital Merchandising, you will lead the strategic vision and execution of Parachute Home's on-site merchandising, digital product discovery and site experience across all devices and categories. You will combine commercial leadership, brand aesthetic sensibility and analytics-driven decision making to elevate our digital storefront into a best-in-class experience.. You will serve as a key digital commerce leader; shaping site architecture, visual hierarchy, navigation/search logic, product launches/promotions, seasonal go-to-market, and site roadmap, all while owning performance metrics and commercial impact.

What You'll Do
- Set the strategic direction for site merchandising, including site taxonomy, navigation logic, internal search behaviour, collection and category placement, product page layout, cross-sell/upsell modules, and landing page execution.
- Design a frictionless, on-brand site experience that reflects seasonal campaigns, product launches, and evolving brand identity, optimizing for desktop and mobile.
- Translate business priorities (product launches, seasonal campaigns, hero assortments) into a digital merchandising roadmap, aligning with brand, product, marketing and operations calendars.
- Own the day-to-day site merchandising operations, ensuring product placement, promotions, PDP accuracy, content updates, and visual storytelling are executed flawlessly and optimized for conversion.
- Apply best practices in UX, site architecture, conversion optimization, and mobile responsiveness.
- Lead the end-to-end GTM site workflow/oversee a robust site content calendar: from concept and creative briefs through page build/QA, asset coordination, launch execution, performance tracking and iterative optimization.
- Manage the site feature roadmap, collaborating closely with in-house backend engineers and third-party partners to ensure timely, high-quality execution of site enhancements, A/B tests, personalization initiatives, and new functionality.
- Run product launches end-to-end: both strategic planning and launch checklists, cross-functional readiness, PDP completeness, price/promo accuracy, on-time publish.
- Maintain focus on commercial results: drive revenue growth, margin improvement, lift in AOV/attach, conversion gains, and LTV improvement through site merchandising optimisation.
- Stay ahead of e-commerce and retail trends, proactively recommending new tools and strategies to enhance customer experience.
- 8+ years of progressive experience in eCommerce site merchandising, digital commerce, UX or site optimisation roles at a multi-SKU DTC or omni-channel retail brand (brand experience preferred).
- Proven track record as a strategic commerce leader, driving measurable business results through merchandising, conversion optimization, and cross-functional influence.
- Technical fluency with Shopify (including Search & Discovery), CMS platforms, personalization engines, recommendation tools, and site search logic.
- Deep analytical skills: fluency in analytics tools (Google Analytics/GA4, Looker/Tableau, etc), ability to interpret data and translate into clear commercial recommendations.
- Thrives as a self-starter who can make strategic decisions, manage competing priorities, and maintain quality and brand standards with limited hands-on guidance.
- Strategic thinker with operational rigor - able to balance big-picture vision with hands-on execution in a fast-paced, dynamic environment.
- Excellent cross-functional collaboration and communication skills - able to influence senior stakeholders and lead through partnership.
- Brand aesthetic sensibility + commercial instinct: ability to balance brand storytelling and elevated visuals with measurable business impact.
- Tools you know: Shopify (including Search & Discovery or equivalent), analytics (GA4, Looker), session insights (Clarity/ContentSquare), reviews/UGC, rec engines, Sheets/Excel, task trackers (Asana/Jira), GTM literacy.

Parachute takes a market-based approach to pay. Your actual base salary will depend on factors such as your skills, qualifications, experience, and work location. The estimated pay range for this role is $120,000 - $140,000.
