With offices across North Carolina, our Coastal region is seeking a Training and Development Specialist to join their team at our Shipyard office. The Training Development Specialist will create, develop, implement, and conduct employee training and development programs.

Requirements

Qualifications and Experience
  • Casting and DME experience is required. Minimum of 2 years preferred.
  • Bachelor's degree preferred, not required
  • Minimum two years of training experience required, preferably in a medical office setting
  • Detailed Knowledge of practice management computer software
  • Adept with a variety of multimedia training platforms and methods
  • Excellent verbal and written communication skills
  • Ability to evaluate and research training options and alternatives
  • Ability to design and implement effective training and development
  • Strong presentation skills
  • Extremely proficient with Microsoft Office Suite and related program software
Responsibilities include, but are not limited to, the following
  • Assesses training and development needs through surveys, interviews, focus groups, and communication with managers, instructors, and customer representatives
  • Creates, organizes, plans, and presents various forms of onboarding, orientation, and skills training for employees and customers
  • Develops unique training programs to fulfill workers' specific needs to maintain or improve job skills
  • Creates and/or acquires training procedure manuals, guides, and course materials
  • Presents training and development programs using various forms and formats including group discussions, lectures, simulations, and videos
  • Maintains records of training and development activities, attendance, results of tests and assessments, and retraining requirements
  • Obtains and /or develops effective training materials utilizing a variety of media
  • Exemplifies the desired culture and philosophies of the organization
  • Works effectively as a team member with other members of management and the HR staff
Other
  • Follows all applicable department and practice policies and procedures
  • Maintains patient confidentiality; complies with HIPAA privacy and confidentiality guidelines established by the practice
  • May provide performance evaluations for training preceptors
  • Attends all regular meetings
  • Performs other duties as required and assigned by the Manager, including schedule changes and travel to office locations as assigned
