Summary:
The Computed Tomography (CT) Technologist is a crucial role in providing high-quality imaging services to enhance patient care. In this position, you will perform a variety of imaging procedures, support fellow technologists, and help maintain efficient patient flow. Adaptability is key, as you may be required to work different shifts or assist at various campuses. The technologist will manage basic equipment maintenance, engage in quality assurance, and address issues related to image processing and archiving. Ongoing education and compliance with safety standards are expected, along with a commitment to uphold imaging competencies as defined by management. Strong communication and behavior consistent with our organization's mission and values are crucial.

- Enhance physician satisfaction by effectively assisting radiologists and referring doctors.
- Ensure patient confidentiality is upheld by refraining from disclosing private information beyond essential job duties.
- Tailor patient assessments and treatment methods to respect the diverse needs of each patient.
- Comply with all relevant policies and standards set by state and federal regulations, hospitals, and regulatory bodies.
- Conduct examinations and procedures that facilitate patient throughput, staying within the scope of your competencies.
- Demonstrate flexibility by covering different shifts or working at additional campuses as needed.
- Verify proper scanning and secure storage of exams in the PACS system.
- Act as a PACS Superuser, following downtime procedures and addressing issues with the PACS administrator if necessary.
- Troubleshoot and report equipment malfunctions to the Director/Manager or Biomedical personnel; follow up appropriately.
- Perform additional duties as assigned.
Job Requirements:
Education/Skills
- Graduate of an accredited Radiology Technology program or an equivalent approved school.
Experience
- A minimum of 1 year of CT experience in a hospital or clinical setting is preferred.
- Basic computer skills are required.
Licenses, Registrations, or Certifications
- Radiography (R) by ARRT is required.
- Computed Tomography (CT) by ARRT must be obtained within one year of hire.
- State Licensure: Texas MRT by TMB is required.
- BLS certification is required.
