PACO Group, Inc. (PACO) is seeking experienced and detail-oriented Inspectors and Quality Inspectors to join our team in support of the Gateway Program - Bridging Phase for NJ Transit, PANYNJ, and the Gateway Development Committee (GDC). These roles offer an exciting opportunity to work on high-profile infrastructure initiatives, ensuring quality, compliance, and operational excellence. As part of the inspection team, you will play a vital role in verifying construction standards, coordinating field activities, and maintaining safety and quality throughout the project lifecycle.
Inspector

Key Responsibilities:

  • Perform on-site inspections to verify compliance with specifications, drawings, and construction standards.
  • Oversee contractor work, ensuring proper execution and quality control.
  • Coordinate independent testing and monitor field operations to maintain alignment with project goals.
  • Collaborate with contractors, subcontractors, and stakeholders to ensure smooth workflow and resolve issues.
  • Document daily activities, inspections, and progress in detailed reports.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 10 years of experience in construction inspection, preferably in transit or infrastructure projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Construction Management, or a related field preferred.
  • Strong understanding of specifications, drawings, and industry standards.
  • Proficiency in field documentation and reporting tools.
  • Ability to work in field environments and coordinate with multiple teams.
Quality Inspector

Key Responsibilities:
  • Conduct quality assurance inspections to verify compliance with specifications, codes, and safety standards.
  • Review contractor submittals, test results, and reports to ensure adherence to project requirements.
  • Support project commissioning and final acceptance inspections.
  • Maintain accurate quality control documentation and assist in resolving non-conformance issues.
  • Collaborate with project managers and engineers to improve processes and maintain quality consistency.
Qualifications:
  • Minimum of 5 years of quality inspection experience in infrastructure or transit projects.
  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering, Quality Assurance, or a related field preferred.
  • Proficiency in quality management systems, processes, and reporting tools.
  • Strong problem-solving skills and attention to detail.
  • Experience with NJ Transit, PANYNJ, GDC, or similar agencies preferred.
