Job Description: Accounts Payable

Position Summary
We are seeking a detail-oriented and organized Accounts Payable Clerk with hands-on experience using Quick Books Online to join our accounting team. The Accounts Payable Clerk will play a key role in maintaining accurate financial records, performing daily accounting tasks, and supporting overall financial operations.

Responsibilities

  • Record and reconcile daily financial transactions in Quick Books Online.

  • Process accounts payable and accounts receivable, ensuring accuracy and timeliness.

  • Assist with bank and credit card reconciliations.

  • Prepare and maintain accurate financial reports and records.

  • Support monthly, quarterly, and year-end closing processes.

  • Verify, allocate, and post transactions to appropriate accounts.

  • Assist in maintaining organized electronic and paper filing systems for invoices, receipts, and other financial documents.

  • Communicate with vendors and internal departments regarding billing or payment discrepancies.

  • Provide general administrative support to the accounting team as needed.

Qualifications

  • Proven experience as an Accounts Payable Clerk, Bookkeeper, or in a similar role.

  • Quick Books Online proficiency is required (including data entry, reconciliations, and reporting).

  • Strong knowledge of basic accounting principles.

  • Proficiency with Microsoft Excel and other Office applications.

  • High level of accuracy, attention to detail, and organizational skills.

  • Strong communication and problem-solving abilities.

  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team.

Preferred Skills (a plus)

  • Experience in a dealership or similar industry environment.

  • Familiarity with accounts payable/receivable workflows at a multi-location business.

  • Knowledge of payroll entry and expense allocations.
