Fuels

  • Sr Level - $118,800 - $150,000

Salary ranges are annual and based on experience, accompanied by a comprehensive benefits package that includes bonuses and a 401K plan.

PRIMARY PURPOSE OF POSITION

This position involves advanced technical and engineering problem solving in support of Clean Energy Centers (CECs). The selected individual will be responsible for making critical technical decisions, showcasing extensive knowledge in their functional discipline, and understanding applicable industry codes and regulations. This role is recognized as a leader within the department.

PRIMARY DUTIES AND ACCOUNTABILITIES

  • Deliver expert technical guidance to develop, manage, and implement engineering analyses, activities, and programs.
  • Engage directly in identifying and resolving equipment and system issues with technical expertise and consultation.
  • Oversee the management of engineering tasks and issues thoroughly.
  • Conduct engineering and technical assignments per organizational requirements, employing general engineering principles.
  • Ensure the accuracy, completeness, and punctuality of work, maintaining proper configuration management and applying standard design criteria, practices, procedures, and codes in planning and specification preparation.
  • Perform independent research, reviews, studies, and analyses to support technical projects.
  • Propose innovative concepts and methods to enhance performance, streamline operations, reduce costs, or comply with changes in codes or regulations.
  • Carry out other assignments and duties as directed by management, including but not limited to: emergency response duties, department coverage, and supporting outage activities as necessary.

MINIMUM QUALIFICATIONS for Senior E03 Engineer

  • Bachelor's degree in Engineering (Chemical, Civil/Structural, Electrical, Industrial, Mechanical, or Nuclear) with a minimum of 5 years of nuclear or relevant engineering experience.
  • Must maintain the minimum access requirement or unescorted access requirements, as applicable, and achieve a favorable medical examination and/or testing as per position duties.

PREFERRED QUALIFICATIONS

  • Advanced degree or additional related coursework.
  • Qualification as a Qualified Nuclear Engineer (QNE).
