At Slalom, personal connection meets global scale. Our vision is to enable a world where everyone loves their work and life. We help organizations redefine what's possible, give shape to the future-and get there.
The Client Partner - US Department of Homeland Security will play a pivotal leadership role within Slalom's Federal Market, reporting directly to the DHS Account Lead (Senior Director). You'll be part of a mission-driven team helping the Department of Homeland Security (DHS) and its components achieve outcomes that strengthen our nation's safety, resilience, and digital modernization.
We're seeking a strategic, client-focused, and technology-driven services leader who thrives at the intersection of mission enablement and innovation-someone who understands both federal procurement dynamics and modern technology transformation (cloud, data, artificial intelligence, CRM tools).
What You'll Do
Account Leadership & Growth
- Partner closely with the DHS Lead to execute account strategy across DHS components, with emphasis on building deep relationships and delivering measurable mission impact.
- Lead and expand Slalom's presence across multiple DHS components; serve as a trusted advisor with deep expertise in at least one component (CBP, FEMA, USCIS, USCG, ICE, TSA, USSS, or CISA).
- Identify, qualify, and shape new opportunities across DHS in alignment with Slalom's strengths in data modernization, AI, cloud, and digital services.
- Develop and manage capture and proposal strategies, collaborating with business development and alliance partners (e.g., AWS, Salesforce, Google Cloud).
- Support pipeline and revenue growth targets while emphasizing delivery excellence and customer satisfaction.
- Oversee engagement delivery, ensuring technical quality, mission relevance, and compliance excellence.
- Translate DHS mission challenges into innovative technology-enabled solutions that leverage Slalom's capabilities in data, AI, and Salesforce/ServiceNow ecosystems.
- Lead account governance, issue escalation, and risk management to uphold client trust and project performance.
- Mentor and guide account team members, helping grow the next generation of DHS technology services leaders.
- Create a high-performing team culture that encourages curiosity, accountability, and authenticity.
- Collaborate with capability leaders across Slalom's practices to drive cross-market pursuits and solution innovation.
Required Qualifications
- 7-12+ years of experience leading federal consulting or technology engagements with demonstrated success in DHS.
- Knowledge of multiple DHS components and deep expertise in at least one (e.g., CBP, FEMA, USCIS, USCG, ICE, TSA, USSS, or CISA).
- Proven success in federal capture management, proposal leadership, and account growth within complex government environments.
- Strong understanding of federal acquisition and compliance frameworks (FAR, IDIQ, BPA, GSA, etc.).
- Demonstrated ability to lead multidisciplinary teams across delivery, capture, and solutioning.
- Excellent communication and relationship-building skills across government, industry, and alliance partners.
- Experience in technology transformation programs involving data platforms, analytics, cloud architecture, or CRM modernization.
- Applicants must be able to pass a federal background investigation and meet suitability requirements for employment on a federal contract.
- Familiarity with Data & AI service offerings, including:
- Data strategy and governance, modernization, and migration.
- AI/ML implementation, responsible AI, and advanced analytics for mission outcomes.
- DataOps, MLOps, and cloud-native architectures.
- Familiarity with Salesforce public sector capabilities, including:
- CRM modernization, constituent engagement, and case management.
- Salesforce Government Cloud, Service Cloud, and Experience Cloud solutions.
- Integration with legacy and modern federal systems.
- Salesforce or cloud certifications (Salesforce Certified Professional, AWS/Azure certifications) a plus.
- Prior experience leading capture or delivery within a federal consulting firm or system integrator.
- Active Public Trust or higher federal security clearance preferred.
- Mission-Driven Mindset - Deeply motivated by DHS's mission to secure and serve the nation.
- Strategic & Systems Thinking - Sees interdependencies across DHS components and aligns technology to mission outcomes.
