Oxford Solutions has a client with an opening for a Machinist needed to support precision machining operations in a hands-on role with a manufacturing team. This position involves working with both manual machines and potentially CNC equipment to produce high-quality parts according to detailed specifications.

Responsibilities

  • Operate manual machines such as saws, lathes, and mills
  • Machine parts based on blueprints, sketches, or verbal instructions
  • Perform machine setups and adjust tooling or speeds as needed
  • Use measuring tools and shop math to ensure accurate and quality output
  • Follow established processes and safety standards in a shop environment
  • Assist with conversational or CAM programming if skilled
Qualifications
  • High school diploma or equivalent required; Associate's Degree in Machining a plus
  • At least 1 year of hands-on machining experience or equivalent technical education
  • HAAS maching experience
  • Proficient in blueprint reading, measuring tools, and shop math
  • Familiarity with manual machine tools (lathe, mill, saw)
  • Programming code knowledge and CAM skills a plus
