Description
  • Assess patients of all ages by using standardized assessments and observational techniques to gather comprehensive data.
  • Create tailored treatment plans addressing both immediate goals and ongoing communication, cognitive, or swallowing needs.
  • Deliver one-on-one speech therapy sessions emphasizing communication, language, fluency, voice, and swallowing proficiency.
  • Work alongside physical and occupational therapists, nurses, physicians, caregivers, and families to ensure a cohesive approach to patient care.
  • Provide education to patients and families, empowering them to support progress outside of therapy sessions.
  • Conduct occasional inpatient evaluations and treatments, guaranteeing seamless continuity of care throughout the patient journey.
  • Keep meticulous records that comply with state, federal, and organizational standards.
  • Engage in ongoing professional development through continuing education and collaboration with peers.
Education
  • A Master's degree in Speech-Language Pathology from a recognized accredited institution.
  • Completion of a Clinical Fellowship Year (CFY) if ASHA certification is pending.
Certifications
  • State licensure as a Speech Language Pathologist.
  • Certificate of Clinical Competence (CCC-SLP) from ASHA is preferred.
  • Basic Life Support (BLS) certification is required within 30 days of hire.

  • Expertise in evidence-based treatments suitable for a wide range of ages, emphasizing both developmental and acquired speech, language, and swallowing disorders.
  • Exceptional verbal and written communication skills to connect with patients, families, and an interdisciplinary team.
