Position Summary
The Town of Breckenridge Recreation Department is seeking dedicated and customer service-oriented individuals for the position of Events Crew - Summer Seasonal. This position is responsible for the design and oversight of recreation programs and special events. This involves maintaining knowledge of specific methodologies or practices for appropriate participant/employee education and utilizing appropriate techniques and progressions to ensure a quality product.
Individuals in this position are responsible for the design, support, instruction, and oversight of programs and services within the Events area of the Programs Division including but not limited to the Firecracker 50 MTB Race, Independence Day 10K, Summit Mountain Challenge Mountain Bike Series, Summit Trail Running Series, and the Junior Mountain Bike League. Key responsibilities include supporting event programs in a responsible, service-oriented manner that supports a culture of safety, where an emphasis on safety and applicable rules of play/safety guidelines are enforced.

Qualifications
MINIMUM & DESIRED QUALIFICATIONS:
- Must be 18 years of age or older.
- High School diploma or GED required.
- Must have one (1) or more years of customer service experience.
- One (1) or more years of work experience supporting events and races preferred.
- Basic CPR, AED, and First Aid Certifications are required within 60 days of hire.
- Preventing Disease Transmission (PDT) required within 60 days of hire.
- A valid Colorado Driver's License with an acceptable Motor Vehicle Record is required for any employee where driving would be a component of the position.
Additional Information
Typical Hiring Pay Range: $20.00 - $21.25 per hour.
WORK SCHEDULE:
Primary shifts for this summer seasonal position vary, ranging from early mornings to late nights, based on programs and special event schedules. Individuals in this position must be flexible in terms of availability and may on occasion be required to work other shifts as needed, including early mornings, late nights, weekends, and holidays.
