Apex Systems is currently hiring for DataPower Engineer with a reputable financial client. We are seeking a highly experienced Senior DataPower Integration Engineer to lead secure integration initiatives using IBM DataPower X2 appliances. This role is critical to designing, implementing, and maintaining robust, scalable, and secure proxy solutions across enterprise systems.

Qualified candidates will have the following experience and skills:

  • Extensive Experience: 10+ years working with IBM DataPower X2 appliances, especially in secure system integrations.
  • Technical Expertise:
    • Strong skills in designing and implementing DataPower proxy solutions.
    • Hands-on experience with setting up, configuring, and managing DataPower appliances, including networking.
  • Security Knowledge:
    • Familiar with modern security standards like OAuth 2.0, WS-Security, JWTs, and methods for authentication and authorization.
  • Scripting & Transformation:
    • Experience using DataPower Gateway scripts and working with XSLT (Extensible Stylesheet Language Transformations).


Location: Fort Mill, SC

Onsite expectation: HYBRID - 3 days onsite/2 days remote

Contract length: 6+ months - potential for extension
