Job Description: Aircraft Systems Supportability Engineer
Work Location: Ridley Park, PA

Role Overview

The Aircraft Systems Supportability Engineer is responsible for developing, analyzing, and maintaining technical data and specifications to ensure optimal supportability of aircraft systems and subsystems. This role involves evaluating product supportability, defining maintenance tasks, and establishing resources and support systems to meet operational requirements. The engineer will also prepare technical documentation, assess fleet performance, and provide recommendations to enhance reliability and availability for airline customers.

Key Responsibilities
  • Technical Data & Analysis
    • Collect, analyze, and store system support technical data elements and specifications.
    • Evaluate product supportability and recommend improvements.
    • Develop logistics support analysis (LSA) records and reports.
  • Maintenance & Supportability
    • Define and establish operational maintenance tasks, resources, and support systems.
    • Identify logistics support candidates from product definitions.
    • Determine spares provisioning requirements, including stocking levels and replacement parts, across multiple customers under a single contract.
  • Documentation & Compliance
    • Prepare and maintain technical documentation for operating, testing, and maintaining aircraft systems/components.
    • Ensure compliance with industry standards and customer requirements.
  • Performance Evaluation
    • Review and evaluate aircraft/fleet operational performance, reliability, and availability.
    • Provide recommendations to improve system specialty performance for specific aircraft types.
Required Hard Skills
  • Ability to read and interpret engineering drawings.
  • Minimum 5 years of aircraft maintenance or avionics experience.
  • Strong knowledge of aircraft systems, subsystems, and supportability requirements.
  • Proficiency in technical documentation preparation and maintenance procedures.
Preferred / Nice-to-Have Skills
  • Experience with SLICWAVE.
  • Familiarity with MIL-STD-1388B and GEIA-0007B standards.
  • Knowledge of IETM (Interactive Electronic Technical Manuals).
  • Experience in developing LSAR (Logistics Support Analysis Records).
  • Technical writing expertise.
  • Troubleshooting skills for aircraft systems and components.
