Senior Accountant

About the Role

We're looking for a detail-oriented and experienced Senior Accountant to oversee financial operations across multiple entities. This role is central to maintaining accurate ledgers, managing cash flow, producing financial statements, and ensuring compliance with GAAP. You'll collaborate closely with leadership and provide support to the accounting team while thriving in a fast-paced environment.

What You'll Do

  • Maintain and oversee general ledgers across entities

  • Manage cash flow, including placement and movement of funds

  • Track CAPEX and maintain property ledgers

  • Prepare monthly financial statements (balance sheet, P&L, cash flow, GL) using Microsoft ERP systems

  • Reconcile general ledger accounts and bank statements

  • Perform month-end closing entries

  • Supervise property tax reporting

  • Partner with auditors, preparing data for reviews

  • Ensure compliance with GAAP standards

  • Provide support to Assistant Controller and Controller

  • Mentor and guide AP, Billing, and other accounting staff as needed
Qualifications

  • Education: Bachelor's degree in Accounting, Finance, or related field (CPA a plus, not required)

  • Experience: Minimum 5 years of progressive accounting/finance experience

  • Technical Skills:

    • Proficiency with Microsoft Office Suite, advanced Excel (pivot tables, VLOOKUP, macros)

    • Experience with Microsoft ERP systems (Dynamics preferred)

    • In-depth GAAP and fixed asset accounting knowledge

    • Familiarity with budgeting and financial analysis processes
  • Professional Skills:

    • Excellent written and verbal communication

    • Strong organizational and problem-solving abilities

    • Ability to interpret complex financial data

    • Collaborative mindset with mentoring experience

    • Proven ability to maintain confidentiality in a fast-paced setting

$85 - 95,000 DOE
