Part-Time Medical Assistant (Woodbury, MN) 20-29 Hours

Responsibilities

  • Prepare patients for examination by taking vital signs and recording medical history.
  • Assist healthcare providers during examinations and procedures, ensuring proper setup and sterilization.
  • Perform basic laboratory tests and prepare specimens for further analysis.
  • Maintain accurate and up-to-date patient records while adhering to confidentiality protocols.
  • Handle scheduling of patient appointments and manage administrative tasks efficiently.
  • Educate patients regarding treatment plans, medications, and skin care practices.
  • Ensure examination rooms are clean and well-stocked with necessary medical supplies.

Requirements

  • High school diploma or equivalent; certification as a Medical Assistant is preferred.
  • Previous experience as a Medical Assistant or in a similar medical role is desirable.
  • Understanding of medical terminology, especially related to dermatology, is a plus.
  • Excellent communication skills to interact effectively with patients and team members.
  • Proficiency in maintaining confidentiality and handling sensitive patient information.
  • Strong organizational and multitasking abilities in a fast-paced environment.
  • Familiarity with electronic health records (EHR) systems and basic office software is required.

Compensation Range: $20.16 - $27.29 per hour. Final offer will be based on a combination of skills, experience, location, and internal equity.
