Your Role as a Nursing Assistant

  • Assist nurses with patient care and treatments as needed, including aiding patients with daily activities such as bathing, dressing, grooming, and eating.
  • Prepare and transport patients, communicating their needs and concerns to nurses.
  • Build meaningful relationships with patients and their families to understand their unique needs for recovery.
  • Celebrate patient achievements and milestones.

Qualifications

  • High school diploma or equivalent preferred.
  • CPR certification required.
  • Certified Nursing Assistant certification (certified through the Maryland Board of Nursing).
  • Acute care experience preferred.
